Next Wednesday, December 4th 2024, the Footprints Project will be 20 years old.
We’ve come a long way since we first started helping people to rebuild their lives after a prison sentence. From the early days working with a handful of former offenders at HMP Dorchester, we now help over 200 people a year across Dorset and Hampshire to make fresh starts and build safer communities.
Like all small charities, we’ve faced more than a few challenges over the last two decades, but we’re still here, and we’re pretty proud of that. To mark this marvellous milestone, we’ve created a short 20th-birthday film, and we’re excited to be able to share it with you on Wednesday next week.
As well as looking back at all we’ve achieved, we’ll be looking forward to the future and launching a fundraising campaign with a series of events and initiatives happening throughout our 20th year. In particular, we’re aiming to raise £20,000 to help make sure we’re here for another 20 years.
